How complete ROM wo crc??

Hi,

I'm trying to complete some system like Capcom Classic.

The problem is: in the xml there is no crc and I can not find a way to complete the system.

 

The rom for sure are in the mame but there is some utility that can help me??

I tried with Don's Hyperspin but without crc it do not works.

Complete the system in what way?  You mean the MAME, CPS 1-3 etc  Capcom Classic games all together?

hmmmmm but there is no need for a crc check for this system or any variation of it that I can think of as a;; the games you would most prob have already in dif systems already named??

 

EXAMPLE:

 

If you want the CAPCOM CLASSICS from all the arcade games all you need is the XML and point it to your main MAME roms dir.  No need to sort them all out or rename anything?

If you want to have classics of every game from CAPCOM, again, you could add the roms from mame in the XML, then add some PC games such as the SFIV, SFV etc, then maybe some Wii and Gamecube games for Res Evil, Metal Gear etc, maybe retro ones from the MSX etc all on the same wheel.  But again, you dont need to sort them, just point to the dir you want?

Thanks probably I asked wrong... My english is not good enought 

My situation is:

 

- I have roms with the wrong name in a folder

- I have a hyperspin xml database without crc

- I want to use the DONS tools renamer because I do not want to rename all the rom manually 

 

I understand that DONS rename tool works only if it recognize the rom via crc right??

There is another way??

If this is for a Arcade Capcom Classics then there are lots of XMLs that match to the names of the standard MAME naming.  So it just needs pointing at MAME roms folder.

 

If however your using some custom system or you really have no other choice.  the best tool I have found to match using NAMES only is Fatmatch.  I talk about it in a vid and kinda show ya the basics:
