vincefaro
Hi, I am new just starting my Hyperspin project. I was just about to but a new hard drive for my computer to put all of my Hyperspin media on it. How much space do I need for all of the media, emulators, etc? Will 2 TB be enough? I plan on really only using MAME, Daphne , maybe atari ,but i might as well get enough space for all of the emulators and media. How much do I need? Thanks
Spawk
2tb should be fine for that. I have 27 systems set up and the media folder is only around 60gb. You could easily fit most cartridge based systems on there too. The real space eaters come when you get into the CD/DVD media systems. namdor
I would buy two 2 tb hard drives, 1 to use and 1 to back up everything. After all your hard work setting it up the last thing you ant to have happen is to lose it all and start from scratch. you can get them for 60-70 dollars every so often if you look around. pacooka
For what you mentioned, 1TB x 2 (for backup) is enough Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
