demonseed Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Hey Guys I can not get PSP to work with the new retroarch.. it keeps crashing? I am using previous version with psp and it works, but have read that ppsspp is a far emulator. I have tested it and it works, however it does not seem to work with rar or 7z? Does it? if so how? For new retroarch... I tried the ppsspp core, tried loading ISO and it just crashes.. Any suggestions/tips would be great!
Styphelus Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Try using an older core. I have the same issue with Gameboy Advance. Had to use an older version of the core. Good thing I had an older version backed up.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 PPSSPP the last time I looked was allot better at emulation. When RA PSP first came out it played games PPSSPP coudnt, but then PPSSPP picked up the ball and have been flying with it since. I have not seen the latest versions of RA running. But its little things now. Both should be fine with all games. But PPSSPP just gives the little extra in the gfx side of it all. If you max out MGS windtalker or whatever its called on RA and then go back to PPSSPP you will see the added effects that do not show in the RA version. It looks just that bit more polished. As for the 7z... I just ran it with 7zenabled. I have not tried it as standard so I cant help there. But the last time I tried them out PPSSPP was the pick of the bunch. Works perfect in RA too and easy to setup. It would only take 2 mins to download and try tbh Sorry cant be more help mate
