Twoflower
Hi, HyperSpin newbie here. I'm prepping the software for the bits of my MAME cabinet in the mail on their way to me. Quick question. Is it possible to have the menu sounds mute themselves when attract mode kicks in? I'd like to be able to have the cabinet use attract mode like a screensaver for when I'm not playing, but only if it's not making random noises and playing music and audio from videos. Basically when I walk away, it keeps animations going on the screen to avoid burn-in, but doesn't blare away with sound.
AxelTerizaki
There is somewhere on this forum a idle volume changer program. I can't find the link right now (am at work) but it's definitely there. This might be what you're looking for : it basically lowers the sound volume to 0 (or very low) when the machine goes idle (and the wheel spins). Hope that helps. Twoflower
Found it! Thanks to your tip (I didn't know such a program existed). http://apps.nozavi.com/downloads/System%20Silencer/system_silencer.exe System Silencer has a ton of "idle" effects you can apply. I tested it just now and despite being an older program it works just fine under Windows 10, too.

l0cut15
Hi, I'm trying to achieve the same thing. The links in this thread are dead now. Can anyone provide guidance on how to disable sound on attract mode? Thanks
l0cut15
Ok, found a fix. Changed the EMUMovies volume to zero the HyperHQ.
Metalzoic
Guys, use Tur-Volume controller. This should be an absolute must especially if you're using or building a cab. Let's you choose the order and timing you launch other programs at, lets you choose the volume/mute levels they run at, lets you choose time until mute, lets you have it always un-mute to a certain volume so it's never too quiet or loud etc...
