Video previews are scrambled

I hope I am posting this to the right place... I read around and did not find an answer.

Pretty much I am trying my hardest to get this Hyper Sync to work. I can download all the videos fine (in mp4 format) however, when Hyper Spin tries to display the videos they are all scrambled. See the below photo:

I believe I am using all the up to date files (uninstalled everything, then re-installed using all of the current downloads available on the main site. Should these videos be flv format? I converted a few to flv format but they still would not work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for helping this noob.

I'm pretty sure this is an issue with intel 4000/2500 graphics (that hasn't been resolved). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way to fix it is to convert the videos to .flv

Or spend $25 on a video card on newegg.com :)

I have the same issue.

There is no fix.

The best option is to replace the videos with PNG images of a game. Make sure to remove the videos from the folder but to give the images the same name and resolution as the videos.

Disappointing to hear that after two years there is still no fix from the hyperspin devs. My friend just built an arcade machine with a very competent mini-atx system. But has no pcie ports for a video card. I think it's kind of unreasonable to pass the responsibility onto the end user.

I found the solution in my case in this thread: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=139953.0

Basically go into IE, install flash player if not already installed, pull up a flash app (like youtube). Right click, pull up settings, uncheck hardware acceleration.

Old thread, but I just wanted to chime in that I had this issue too. Disabling hardware acceleration worked everything out for me!

Just want to second what others have said! I had the same problem but followed the "disable hardware acceleration" process and now everything works fine!

It's also fixed in the 1.4 beta. Joystick input is also working among many other things.
