abispac Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 So long history made short, i downloaded the old old underground gamer 92gb torrent so i coud recover my lost hardrive, and got me the mame roms. Problem is,that the torrent does not state wich version of mame was that media for, as it does not include a mame executable. So i wonder if someone will know wich mame version should i use, or an easy way to rename all the media files to a know mame romset i have. Hope ill make myself clear, thanks for any help.
gigapig Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 My advice, get a new mame set or run the old one you have through CLRMamepro then update it. Downloading a new set should take no time.
abispac Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 No, maybe im not explaining my selfright, the mame romset i got its new, its the hyperspin media thats old, so i would like to have a full matching media and romset, but cant seem to find a way to match them, or maybe the other way,to know wich mame version was used with this media, then i could just use clrmamepro to just rebuild the roms to a matchin set.
gigapig Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 You said you Downloaded the UG torrent to get the Mame Roms, but UG has been dead for years so that set is hardly new. Away. Delete that ancient torrent, you're a platinum member so fire up HyperSync Cloud and download a fresh set of everything you need. You should be able to find a 0.163 or 0.164 Mame xml in the downloads section.
