Hello all I am after some help!

Its been a while since i last dabbled with Hyperspin and i can see that a lot has changed.

However i have followed guides to the letter to get the stuff to work from a fresh install (using nintendo 64) as a starting point and each time i am hitting the same error.

I can get RocketLauncher to install and work and launch the roms fine, however as soon as i launch hyperspin I cannot press enter on any of the roms. Nothing happens.

The settings.ini file for hyperspin133 is set up to point to rocketlauncher.exe as it should and nothing happens.

Any help would be appreciate as i am now pulling my hair out.

Jumping to the conclusion here, as I think I had the same issue after moving to RL1.4: make sure your Hyperspin directory is at the root and is named "Hyperspin".

It won't work if the name is anything else.

Funnily enough i was coming back to say i had figured it out!

My root folder for hyperspin was not named correctly so after a quick rename its all working! (what a silly mistake to waste hours on ..)

Got N64 all up and running now from end as Hyperspin and backend as RocketLauncher!

Thanks everyone!

But I had installed and set everything up correctly, however my top level file name for HyperSpin folder was called hyperspin133. When Hyperspin was looking for XML's it would not see the databases I "think" because the folder was named wrong.

I set up HyperHQ/RocketLauncher in the correct way and altered the relevant settings.ini and added the front end correctly all as suggested in the guide, but it still did nothing when trying to run a game from within hyperspin untill i changed the folder name?

Either way it seems to be working fine now so its on to settings up more systems and then configuring my pads!

Well done mate!  Up and running :D  And yeah there does seem to be a bug that if you place numbers in the Root directory it has issues.  Normally a XML error for some reason :(

Getting this allot with people using example E:\HyperSpin 1.4 and variants :(

Again, there is no bug!

You most probably did not updated the "-f" parameter with the correct frontend path on your end.

I double checked on my end just now, just to make sure that there is no such bug.

Anyway, I am glad that you solved your issue.

For anybody else that faces the same problem, you just need to use the correct configs on the HyperHQ that are listed on the link above (and don't forget to update the frontend path to your customized path).

thanks mate!

got to say im glad you popped by as your videos have helped me understand the changes to the new revisions and have saved me alot of time!

I did copy some files of the test machine i was setting up at work (windows 8.1) to my home machine (windows 10) only to get project 64 to BSOD my machine and corrupt my install.

So not to pleased about that. Reinstalled my home pc now, and going to avoid P64 until this issue is fixed.

Any of you lot having this issue?
