Strange Behavior from X360 Controller in Hyperspin 1.4 Menu

I have Hyperspin 1.4 functioning how I want it to except for one problem.

 

I use an Xbox 360 wireless controller with the official wireless adapter, currently using Windows 10, but have the same problem on Windows 8.1 (tested). When I try to scroll through the various wheels my controller is sometimes partially responsive, sometimes not responsive at all, and sometimes gets "stuck" after a movement up/down and the wheel menus just keep spinning until I shut down Hyperspin manually.

 

As a workaround I've been using the keyboard, but I want to use my controller since this is a living room setup. The thing is, the controller works perfectly once I get into any game, so it only has a problem in Hyperspin. I tried searching through various threads and sites but couldn't find anything similar.

Watching this with interest too as i basically have the same issues. Although i am not 100% sure i have set up the pad correctly in RL etc. 

Didnt pay for the version of Xpadder so not sure if thats half my issue ...

Ive got the paid version of Xpadder and it does the same to me.

I had this happening when I converted to 1.4 and as dumb as it sounds (my controller worked in games as well) it was a driver issue.

This video by Austin fixed all my issues!

Hi Jason -

Did you ever get this problems figured out? I'm struggling with the same problem. After months of trying to perfect my HS setup, this has become a serious problem for my setup... its almost unusable, very frustrating.
