Setting up Future Pinball & Visual Pinball in Hyperspin

Can anyone point me to a decent tutorial/guide of how to do this..Finally got around to installing VP + FP & really enjoying them, but I would love to have selecting tables looking sharp in Hyperspin (Not Hyperpin) along with some wheel art, themes (I will find & use backglass or flyer images & make my own even if I have to)

&if possible Id really like to combine all tables from both emulators in a single "Pinball" wheel in HS and be able to add favorites..... I believe I read the VP frontend for pinball had those options

& forgive my ignorance but from what i understand "Hyperpin" is for cabinets only? I play everything on my flat screen TV ran from my laptop

You set them up like any other system where the table extension would be set in rlui and the path to the exe. For putting them on the same wheel you would use alternate emulators in rlui

Hyperpin only has a vertical mode. If you wanted a pinball FE that supports a desktop mode go with pinballx

It's been a while since I set up MAME in Hyperspin & I can't really remember nor find the guide I used to setting emulators & roms up...I tried Hyperlaunch HQ & for some reason coudlnt figure out where to put rom directory for FP & VP....& forgive my ignorance, but what is rlui ?

Thanks

Also, PinballX seems cool, but I cant find any footage of it used on a desktop PC & not a cabinet and I see you have to pay for it. Definitely wouldnt want to do that without trying it out first  & having piece of mind it would work correct...& honestly Id rather add all my tables to Hyperspin, being I already use it exclusively for an arcade experience (MAME & no console emulators).. Pinball fits in with that

you are using Hyperlaunch3.0  that's why you have HyperlaunchHQ.

Hyperlaunch3.0 has been discontinued, it has been updated to Rocketlauncher.

instead of using HyperlaulnchHQ you will use RocetlauncherUI to set up your systems.

I don't know if the module included in Hyperlaunch3.0 will work for the latest versions of FP and VP.

1.  you need to upgrade to Rocketlauncher

2.  the " rom paths" you add are to the tables

extension

Visiual pinball = vpt

Future pinball = fpt

it takes about 30 seconds to set up both FP and VP in hyperspin,  but it will take you a 30-60 minutes to set up both emulators outside of Hyperspin.

Also be sure to read rlui module notes for both... They will launch the games straight from the wheel. Setup your databases and corresponding wheel art/themes/videos.. Hypersync will download and put all themes and artwork where it needs to go..

Tried setting it up, got the Transition program or whatever it was called first, it seemed to tell me Hyperlaunch was succesfully changed over to Rocketlauncher...but now when I click the rocketlauncherui.exe I keep getting an error that says "This application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect"...Have no idea about any of this :verymad:

Hello,

I can get Visual Pinball 9.21 to launch, when I go to exit the game it will go to the paused screen, where it shows edit, debug, quit to editor. when I quit to editor, i can not load another game. Is there any way to quit the game and load another game from the wheel?

Thanks,

Keith
