Tense Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I have been using hyperspin for years now. But, recently decided to build from scratch. So, I downloaded 1.33 and updated to 1.4. When I ran hyperspin.exe to have it generate the main menu.xml and such... it just doesn't. It gives me a "Cannot find Main Menu.xml" error. When I launch HyperHQ it says to run Hyperspin.exe to generate the main menu. I have tried running as administrator. Verifying the file isn't blocked. I am really at a loss.
kylecp1979 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Did you set hyperspin as your default frontend in rocketluncher and set your path to rocketluncher in the hyperspin setting
Tense Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Well, I did modify the hyperspin settings to point to Rocketlauncher. But, since I am running Hyperspin by itself does it matter? The main menu.xml should be generated by hyperspin itself, correct?
kylecp1979 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Oh your just using hyperHQ as your loader. Well you shouldn't have to point it to rocketluncher at all. Make sure your setting in hyperHQ are all set to use just hyperHQ and you set up your exe and rom paths in hyperHQ. Double check and see if you have a main menu.xml I don't remember if its automatic or it comes with hyperspin 1.33 download.
gigapig Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Have you checked if you have the main menu XML already? With most builds it should already be there. Did you name your HyperSpin folder something other than HyperSpin?

Did you name your HyperSpin folder something other than HyperSpin? They were not. Though the zip was not corrupt they were missing. I had to redownload the zip. I had even already disabled Defender. I don't know, its weird. This is resolved. A redownload fixed it.
