zomboided Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 http://www.starforcepi.com/overview.html Have had a minor fascination with tabletop restos/mods recently and Recalbox on the RPi2. Thought this was very cool and a perfect My First Arcade machine for my boy. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

juicelee Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 i think it looks killer, the design is like the caveman game i had as a kid.
johnodon Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I LOVE EmulationStation. It is such a nice, clean, lightweight interface...talking about recalbox that is. Thanks for sharing that...I didn't know it existed. My last attempt in that space was with retropie. Recalbox looks a lot more polished! "There are some who call me.......Tim."

Yeah, derailing my own thread, Recalbox is much nicer than Retropie. They're taking a much more balanced approach to adding systems and making sure the base funciton is solid (reconnection of PS3 controllers for example). I tried both before settling on Recalbox on my RPi media boxes as IT-JUST-WORKS. Only negative I've found is that MAME is the old 0.37 version and damn if it's not come a long way since. Half the games don't work, and of the rest, half don't have music/sound. Console (SNES, NES, PSOne, Megadrive) support is brilliant though. And arcade games are for arcade machines, or at the very least a proper set of arcade controls. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
