mumboxsauce Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I'm stumped... I have the rest of my hyperspin working except for the game boy advance. I've tried deleting the settings ini for gba and checked all the spelling of the folders and database to make sure they matched up but for some reason hyperlaunch doesn't seem to run with it and uses and alternate launch path that I cant seem to find in any of the configuration files. Here is my hyperspin log: 04:25:38 PM | HyperSpin Started 04:25:38 PM | Going FullScreen 04:25:38 PM | Checking for updates 04:25:38 PM | Update Check Complete 04:25:38 PM | Startup program unavailable 04:25:38 PM | Playing intro video 04:25:39 PM | Menu Mode is multi 04:25:39 PM | Loading Main Menu.xml 04:25:39 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 04:25:40 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully 04:25:43 PM | Loading Nintendo Game Boy Advance.xml 04:25:43 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 04:25:44 PM | Nintendo Game Boy Advance wheel loaded successfully 04:25:47 PM | Launching Game 04:25:47 PM | Using alternate exe gba 04:25:47 PM | Not using HyperLaunch 04:25:51 PM | Loading Main Menu.xml 04:25:51 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 04:25:51 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully 04:25:52 PM | Exit program unavailable 04:25:52 PM | Quiting Hyperspin 04:25:52 PM | Bye! Whenever I try to launch a gba game from within hyperpsin, it says "Cannot find gba.ini". Help would be much appreciated. It runs when i launch it through the rocketlauncher exe
rfancella Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Try the emulator GameBoyAdvance-M. That is what the module is intended for. Thanks, Ron Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them. And if they changed your life, send them a Beer!
32assassin Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 04:25:47 PM | Using alternate exe gba 04:25:47 PM | Not using HyperLaunch can you post your XML, or open it and make sure you don't have <exe>gba<exe> or <exe> unknown name<exe> at the end of your game entries.
rastan Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I know with VBA-M you have to rename the .ini to vbam.ini my only issue with GameBoy Advance is when I exit the emulator my damn task bar shows back up and I have to switch from hyperspin to desktop and back to hyperspin to get rid of it..

Thank you so much! That was exactly the problem. There was <exe>gba<exe> after each game. I removed them and they all run now!!!
