Guest Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 That isn't gonna do anything for adding to an Android setup. Your right, my apologies. I read the first post wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TripleA Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Android Setup is really easy follow the beginners guide then the setup android guide to clean the configs thats eat important are the exe= and the parameters rompath and romextensions. And dont forget for rompath the absolute path
jcort154 Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 I tried adding Atari 2600 by duplicating the other necessary files I have for another emu and then editing them to suit the 2600. The Atari 2600 wheel doesnt show though. I dont know if it can be done this way or do you have to do it on a PC with Dons tools and then edit the necessary files.
kylecp1979 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 can this b done on any android device or just the nvidia shield???
reznnate Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 In order to add a new wheel called "SYSTEM", you need to do a few things: 1. Add new entry for SYSTEM in 'Main Menu.xml' in /Databases/Main Menu/ folder 2. Add rom/game SYSTEM.xml file in /Databases/SYSTEM/ folder 3. Add media files in /Media/SYSTEM 4. Add new SYSTEM.ini in /Settings (or /Settings_Android) that defines emulator launch parameters, rom paths/ext, and wheel filters 5. Ensure roms path matches those defined in SYSTEM.ini
jcort154 Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 Thanks Rez. I checked all your bullets and I was fine. I did find 2 files in the modules folder, the ahk files. I left in only the stella ahk and I can now see the Atari 2600 emu in Hyperspin.
reznnate Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 The Android version of Hyperspin ONLY looks at the settings .ini file for emulator settings, rom path, etc. The .ahk files are used by Windows and hyperlaunch/rocketlaunch.
jcort154 Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Oh, Ok. Then I dont know how I got it working. Now my next issue. I want to use the 2600.emu by Robert Broglia. I cant stop the game with retoarch/Stella emu from within Hyperspin on the Nvidia shield TV. 2600.emu seems to do this better. How do you set the path to the emu? Is there a file tree you can follow on Android OS by looking with ES file explorer?
MrBBeastMode Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Sorry guys im a noob and my question might sound stupid but where can i get the font name for atari 2600 to show it at hyperspin menu where all the systems are ?
