Tribe Fan Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I've really committed myself to learning RetroArch and have been well rewarded for the effort - it's an awesome piece of software that really simplifies things for us HyperSpin enthusiasts. It got me thinking though - what is the stance of the original emulators designers whose software was used to develop the cores in multi emulator platforms like RetroArch? Do they welcome the use of their software in RetroArch or do they prefer that gamers use their original emulator? If it were me, I suppose I would see developing an emulator as a devotion to a particular platform and a labor of love, so I would probably welcome my work being forked into new projects and finding avenues for wider use. Then again, I'm no programmer and I have no idea how much sweat, blood, and tears go into the development of an emulator.
