Bonoscot Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Guys, whats the best way to save your game states? eg, with SNES do you just save via the emulator used? Or is there a program you use? What about save states with MAME? And what about other main systems like Gamecube/Wii/PS1 etc .....Do you guys just use the emulator as used? What emulators have trouble saving?
ninja2bceen Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Use rocketlauncher and set it save state keys. You can find it in the global emulator ini Tapatalk signature Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop
rastan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Haven't had the urge to save a game well let me correct that... haven't had the need to save games that didn't originally have the option to save (other than a few NES games that were like ZELDA that saved and or KID ICARUS that had codes) now with systems like PSP... that's just natural that they save but for MAME and most 80s and early 90s consoles I haven't been saving but the best bet would be using the emulator's save keys whatever but to me I don't have time for that... I don't wanna see the damn emulator at all.... if I can't rock the game and end it f*ck it.
Bonoscot Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 well I was told to use Hyperpause for all game saves, when I use hyperpause I don't see a selection icon to save game? just artwork etc. I just played 30 mins of a genesis/mega drive game and no way to save it?
damageinc86 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Another option that should have a stickied tutorial vid or something. Someone a long time ago had a post on where to actually go to set the hyperpause key, and to program the autohotkey for it to communicate to the emulator key presses that the emulator uses for save game states.
damageinc86 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Yeah if you accidentally right click and do the game state keys. Even then, the average person might not know how to do the {sleep} stuff and whatnot. Kind of like how you have to drag the window down in the PC module settings to reveal what games are in there for you to select to edit paths. I didn't know for about 3 months that you could drag that window down, because in HLHQ it opened up showing nothing by default. Always better to have more info, than not enough. I wish the two factions didn't break so far away from each other, it's sad.
damageinc86 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 no factions of hyperspin site and HL which turned into RL. I wish they didn't have to separate. But anyways, yeah it can be done. Just look around I guess.
