joehenderson7 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I want to make one theme and use it for all games but just putting the artwork in the proper folder with the same name as the rom. Is there a way? Am I asking for too much?
SUBZERO Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 so you want a default theme?......make a theme call it default and place it in the MAME theme folder HyperSpin\Media\MAME\Themes if you want say.....flyers to show up in the theme for each game, add them to artwork2 in the theme that is opened up in Hypertheme and on the bottom left you can select don't include in output. the drop all flyers with the correct naming per rom in the artwork2 folder HyperSpin\Media\MAME\Images\Artwork2 if that is what you mean
joehenderson7 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 That sounds like exactly what I am trying to do, thank you. Ill try it out tomorrow if it works you will save me so much time
SUBZERO Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 THk also had the same answer for you, its basiclly the same thing You can make one theme and name it default, remove the artwork from the zip that you want to be game dependand. Then put the artwork in the correct artwork directory for the artwork layer you assigned. The game dependend artwork has to be named exactly as the xml-entry/rom/wheel.When the artwork layer (for instance Artwork3) isn't in the theme zip, HS will call the artwork named after the game from the artwork folder (...\Images\Artwork3)
