BlueGoblin Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 What is the best way to replace/config a new SSD drive for my Hyperspin arcade machine? It currently has an old 3.5" 2tb drive. I'd like to install a 2.5" SSD 256gb maybe a 512gb SSD. I'm running Windows 7 Professional. Thoughts?
gigapig Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 If the contents of the 2tb drive fits on the SSD then you can just clone it. Some SSD vendors supply the software to do it, otherwise try Macrium Reflect.
BlueGoblin Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 Would I need to purchase an ssd enclosure or just mount the ssd drive inside the arcade? The current 2tb is not in an enclosure.
Rincewind Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 SSD Drives do not get that hot and have no spinning discs inside so you can put it anywhere you wish
BlueGoblin Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 I'm looking at getting the SanDisk X300 512GB 2.5Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive Is that a decent SSD drive?
