Nocturnaloner Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I'm running the latest Hyperspin, and I noticed that it's very easy to "get ahead" of the backgrounds when switching quickly from game to game in a wheel. Roughly 20% of the time, the background doesn't load, as if the transition didn't have time to trigger, and the theme will show the previous game's background. Going back and forth fixes it, but it's annoying. Any suggestions? Also, is it possible to disable the Hyperspin logo transitions that are randomly inserted?
damageinc86 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I think you have to disable some art options in hyperHQ to get rid of the weird flashing hyperspin stuff. Like turn off animated something or other. I have almost all of my artwork and transition options un-ticked in hyperhq. I think it runs better that way. Smoother and less distracting.
Spawk Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 HyperHQ has a "reload backgrounds" option. Enable it per system. Also, HS transitions are located here: ..\HYPERSPIN\Media\Frontend\Video\Transitions Simply delete those (or backup to somewhere else).

The reload backgrounds option is checked, but the problem persists. Other than this, Hyperspin is running very well on my setup, so it's not an overall performance issue. I did check out the video transitions, but those 4 movies are essentially the different 'wipe' styles. What is not in that folder are the HS logo animations that randomly show up during transitions. Do you know where those are located? One shows the HS logo circle 'bouncing' toward the viewer, and one has the HS logo flying with a fire trail behind it.
Spawk Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Hmmm... not sure exactly what you mean then. If you are using game themes they may be included with them! Not sure, I don't use game themes. Just too busy, too much changing for my tastes. Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk

If not, they may be included in some themes as an override transition. It could also be that it's some sort of anti-rebranding step that BBB has done, and doesn't want them removed. If that's true, I'm fine with it, but if I can find them and shut them off, that's my preference. Still no good answer on why the background transitions sometimes simply don't happen, but I'll experiment with different Optimize combinations.
Nocturnaloner Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 As it turns out, disabling 'Special Backgrounds' in HyperHQ seemed to solve both problems: The HS logos are gone, and all backgrounds transition properly now, go figure!
damageinc86 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Sweet! I knew it was something like that, because I turned stuff off until I got rid of those things too.
