Rotgut
Hi, everyone! So I have spent 20+ hours setting my buddy up with a HS rig of his own. A PC and a monitor upgrade for his arcade cab. He has been running MAMEUI on Windows 95 since 2000 and I told him it's time to visit the year 2016, lol It is version 1.3 of HS and everything looks absolutely beautiful... razor sharp! Only thing is, the game wheels scroll a bit too fast and it is tricky to "nail down" and select a game sometimes. Is there any way to adjust the scroll speed? I don't have this issue when running my HS rig, the wheel speed is perfect and easily maneuverable. He has a HanaHo Hot Rod CP and I am wondering if that might be a factor? I don't know. I did some searching online to see if others have had the same issue, can't seem to come up with anything. Any advice? Anyway, thanks if you can throw some advice our way. Metalzoic
If I remember right he needs to disable spinners and trackball control in HyperHQ. Does his control Panel work as a keyboard encoder? If it does then try turning off joystick control too. Then again if he's using the older 1.3 instead of the latest version that may not work. I can't remember... If he has to use that control panel as a joystick then he may need to use Xpadder/JoytoKey/Antimicro to make it work. If you search there are many, many topics (a ton actually) on this subject that probably have more detailed info for you

Hmm. How do I "disable" Joystick Control in HyperHQ...?
Metalzoic
Sounds like that's the problem then. In hyperHQ go to the Controls tab. Below that are the Keyboard, Joystick, Trackball and spinner tabs. Makes sure that Joystick, Trackball and Spinner are all disabled, by unchecking the "Enabled" tick boxes. At least that's how it is in Hyperspin 1.5, but I think it was the same for the older one too.

If I recall, I only noticed an "enable/disable" option in the KB, Trackball and Spinner tabs — not one in the Joystick tab — but I may have missed it. Thank you, man. Metalzoic
Yeah, hopefully that works. Under the Joystick tab I believe there are actually two enable/disable options. One for Joystick 1 and another for joystick 2. Make sure you disable both.
swimminginthoughts
Have you adjusted the wheel speed? In HyperHQ, Wheel Settings, Wheel, Speed. I changed mine to LOW because I had the same issue. Medium works well too but I prefer LOW.
