Hi

I'm having a real hard time getting the controls working properly with win uea emulator. It's also part of gigapigs emulator pack. I have also tried his host files but seem to have the same issue. The joystick works well but the buttons don't really register well. Like one button works well but the others don't. For example try boo thing chuck rock. The jump button works but to belly hit its not another button but rather if I triple hit the jump button will he belly hit one time when he lands.

I also tried another game I can't remember the name of it but the start aka play button wouldn't allow me to start a game.

Is there a better emulator for this system or what are the tricks to make the control works? I've followed all of the rocket launcher notes. I have to be missing something or its just buggy in general. If your controls are working flawlessly, can you pm maybe your host directory folder, rocket launcher module just in case? Frustrated to say the least and probably rivals the joystick setup issues as the sega cd

Try FS-UAE. It uses the same core as Win-UAE, so compatibility is the same but it's a heck of a lot easier to set up, supports controllers out of the box and is a lot more suited for big screen gaming.

Ya the controls just aren't working. I am trying to set up ds-uae now and I can get a game to launch through the launcher but I can't seem to get anything to launch through hyperspin. It just launches the launcher and doesn't launch the game. I have stuff set up to 7z and I added cue to the extensions too. Boy this is frustrating. Can someone post their setup for this system?

OK, not sure what you mean by "share" in that case because it sounds like you already have all the roms/artwork etc?

Are you using RocketLauncher? I am using that on almost default settings except that I also have extraction enabled.

Ya I have everything set up but the emulator controls are not responding well. Direction pad works great but only one or two buttons truly work on a controller. I'm having a read hard time setting up the controls. I've dropped gigas config file in but no luck. Of 80 some emulators, this has to be the most confusing on to map. Can you send me ur config and its mapping? Controls have a hard time in and outside of hyperspin. Rocketlauncher is set up correctly

You realise not every button is used on every game. I suppose you could test it with the CD player.

Also WinUAE has a test function.

Sure. Can you rest chuck rock? In the console version of the game you should be able to jump and belly bump with two separate buttons where this I can barely belly bump. I can also look up the other game I was trying and I couldn't press the start button to begin the game. I tried all the buttons and it wouldn't start, it was a platformer. Something has to be wonky here

Well done Ninjy, you were correct and that made me figure it out, although I don't know why my original mappings didn't work.

See screen below also.

Switch on your gamepad.

Start WinUAE.

Load your CD32 host config file.

Go to game ports on the left.

Under Port 2 select the gamepad you are using.

Just under Port 2 you will see "Default" you need to change that to CD32 pad which will give you the correct mappings for CD32 and Chuck Rocks Belly Bounce. Unga bunga.

Remember to go back to the config tab and save your config.
