Emulator Advice

OK so this is more of an opinion thread. But I would like to know from people experienced what emulators are preferred for each system. So please LMK what emulators you like to use for each system you emulate. I found out I was using certain emulators that were making it more difficult for me to do things i wanted to do. Want to get a grasp on things early :)

So that list does show a lot of Preferred but still some consoles dont show wat emulator is preferred. Like Sega Genesis is named in there for multiple emulators. And currently im using RetroArch for it. But thought there might be better options out there.. and dont get me wrong it shows a BUNCH of emulators that have the potential to run Sega Genesis but doesnt show which is preferred. And honestly i could see most if not all the emulators that run Sega Genesis in the RLUI im mainly just wondering which ones are best for them. And that link DID answer most of the consoles im looking for.

For some stuff like that, multiple emulators will do it pretty much just as well. For Genesis I'd say RA or Fusion. I use Fusion as I'm not a RA fan.

Im glad that post was already made. I thought it was a good idea lol but i should of known other people would of wanted that insight too lol.

If you search you will find no less than 5 threads with many discussions on what many people "prefer" . You can look at the ra cores as well and go with the standalone ones for those, imo they chose the best/most popular emulators to use as their cores

They didn't necessarily choose the best/most popular. More accurately, they chose the best/most popular that are open source. Many cores aren't in Retroarch just because not all emulators are open source.

The best/most popular ones 99% of the time are open source......there are minimal non open source emulators anyways.
