PAC Man high scores?

Hey guys,

 

I'm new to the whole rom emulator thing but trying to learn all I can.  I'm working on setting up home built arcade system for the basement.  I have a mame running on hyperspin and now I'm on to testing my roms.  I add in the highscore.dat file and I did read that not all game support it.  I notice on my pacman roms that there is no option for saving multiple high scores and entering your initials.  Seems to just hold the current highscore.  Maybe this was the way the original arcade game was I'm not sure?  Just wondered if there were any roms out there that hacked it to give you the highscore list so we can have bragging rights in the basement!

All Pac-man, Ms jr, and other namco games from that era keeps only one High score. Unless you use a high score save kit built-in your roms.

Or look for "superabc" rom in mame. The downside is that it's a 16in1 Pac games and the high score table is shared by all the games.
