Hyperspin Wheel wont show any games

I'm at my wits end here. I installed my Hyperspin according to SimplyAustin's video tutorials. I currently have 1.4 and Rocketlauncher's path is set up correctly in the .ini. I made a .xml for my genesis roms with Don's tools and dropped it in the Hyperspin genesis directory overwriting the previous one. The games launch correctly from RocketlauncherUI. I have Hyperspin set as the default frontend in Rocketlauncher. I have the rom folder path set up as well, and the extensions (.bin and .smd are all I have) are correct. Oh, I also renamed my set with Don's tools before making a new .xml (some games were apparently not recognized, but I will cross that bridge later).

I have no idea what could be causing that. When I click the Genesis wheel, the screen quickly fades to black and goes back to the main wheel. It only happens with the genesis one. The others that I did not fiddle with go to the rom list (though they dont work since nothing is set up for them).

I tried troubleshooting this yesterday for hours, but no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks.

do you havve roms only selected in hyperHQ? try turning that off if you do.

I can't find that option in HyperHQ. Where is it?

Also, should I populate the "Executable" and "Rom Path" in HyperHQ under the emulator tab for each wheel? If so, is executable something I should point towards RocketLauncher? For the record, I tried with that empty as well as pointing it to RL and Hyperspin.

I use "roms only" for all my systems. Just make sure you set rompath and extensions in hyperhq.

Speaking of extensions, a quick look at mine and they are all .MD not .SMD

And are your roms not zipped/7zipped?

No need to ever set the executable in hyperhq. Let RL handle all that. The rompath and extension set in here is just to populate the wheel when using the "roms only" option (found in the navagation tab).

Sorry, I misspoke. My roms are actually .gen and .bin. I am not using 7zip at the time. I might in the future, but for now I just wanna get the hang on installing Hyperspin.

I can't find this "roms only" option, but I looked at a log file and this might be the issue. The log is below:

Where can I change that? And what does that option do?

Roms only is on... so I will assume either the path or extension is wrong.

If you use multiple extensions be sure to place a comma between them (no spaces!)

It worked after removing the roms only filter and setting the rompath and executable in HyperHQ. The last part is weird since I thought RL took care of that kind of thing, but it works so I'm happy enough.

For some whacky reason the genesis background and top banner shows Turbographx instead of Genesis, but that must be only a matter of changing the art in the media folders.

Thanks, guys!
