How to find out which roms are not working?

I have a new problem now.

I am trying to add my Snes rom collection to Hyperspin. Its a total of 371 roms. Some of them are patched with translations. Since I want both Famicom and SNES roms to be displayed under the same wheel, I used Don's XML merger to merge both snes xmls, and put that in the HS database directory (was I correct in doing that?). I also renamed them using Don's tools, and manually renamed the translated roms that werent recognized.

RocketLauncher is recognizing only 317 roms out of the 371. My question is - how can I adequately troubleshoot this? Ideally, I would need a list showing me which files are in the directory but have not been flagged as playable (or even as a game) by Rocketlauncher. Manually comparing them will be a herculean task, and I'd prefer to avoid it (especially if I have to repeat it for all wheels, as this is only my second wheel).

Also, is there any way to batch convert/zip all files in a directory into the 7zip format while keeping them under the same file name?

Thanks.

Rocketlaunncher cannot determine what roms work and what roms don't work.

their are only two reasons why RL is only finding 317 of 371 roms

-wrong name

- file extension is not included in the emulator setup.

RL does not list incorrectly name roms;  You will have to use a 3rd party software to do that.

use this

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/8401-hypert00ls/

or this

http://emumovies.com/files/file/1174-hyperspin-asset-xml-audit/

both programs can identity any file found in your roms folder that is not named to mach the XML and move it to a separate folder.

from their you can manually rename the file or use another program to rename them.

and on a side note

You are better of keeping your roms in zip format,   most emulators will load a zip file directly. Only a limited amount of emulators will load a 7z file directly.

(directly = no need enable 7z in Rocketlaunher,  the emulator can load the rom without a need to extract the file)

When manually renaming, always best to copy-paste rather than manually typing. Easy to use incorrect spacing, displacing "l" and "I", etc. Have the xml and rom folder together on your desktop.

Also be sure to rename the zip and the file inside.
