scottpe
sorry to hear man, but look at the positive...... time to go plasma I'm sure that's just what he wanted to hear after already dropping 3 bills on this display... zeenon, I assume you tried the obvious and re-seated your connections? zeenon
Purchased 4/22/2013 I'm wondering if there is any type of warranty? Scott, yeah reseated the USB on both ends, the ribbon cable, and the power just to make sure. Z
neohusky
Vishay was happy enough to offer an RMA on my display with a dead pixel even though it was many months old. I've returned it to Virtuapin and awaiting its return.
zeenon
I sent a PM to Brad from VPcabs so I'll keep you updated. Z
Dr. Willy
yeah believe Vishay does do rma's but you have to go through whoever you bought it from for it.
neohusky
you have to go through whoever you bought it from for it. This is exactly was I was told by Vishay. I had to arrange shipping from Australia back to VirtuaPin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
russdx
Dead pixel shorting the whole column out These Matrix LED's displays suffer quite badly from this I guess this is one advantage of the new pinLED displays they have socketed led matrix segments, so when some thing goes wrong you just pop the dodgy segment out and send it back to pinLED and they will then send you a new one. zeenon
Russ, Is that the cause, because I don't see a dead pixel? (When I think of a dead pixel, I think completely out) just curious Z
scottpe
Is that the cause, because I don't see a dead pixel? (When I think of a dead pixel, I think completely out) I think by 'dead' Russ is basically saying a 'bad' pixel. Bad pixels can be totally dead (always off) or stuck in the on position. russdx
yeah some times completely unlit but some times half lit, If you run one of the roms DMD test, when it lights the whole DMD you should see 1 pixel in that column doing some thing weird hehe.
