rubixcube6 Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 how do I make it where hyperspin runs before windows starts? I wanna be able to turn on the computer, and after it gets past the loading bar screen, boot directly into hyperspin. then when I click esc and yes to exit, It can boot into windows. right now I have it setup to auto boot after windows starts by placing a shortcut in the startup folder of the start menu. but that loads after everything else finishes loading in windows and takes alot longer. lol btw, im running windows vista home premium if that matters
Lashek Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 If it's windows xp, look into InstantSheller. There are a few guides on this throughout the forums. -Lashek I invented HyperList! http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com Please do not ask me support questions about HyperList, I am no longer a part of the team/project.

SophT Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 same principles - google shelling vista. It's basically a registry edit that will start hyperspin instead of explorer.exe. Changing the bootup and logon screen is a little harder though. Things I Break ----- System Requirements? How do I remove rom warnings? How do I shut-down my computer? How do I shell HyperSpin?

Guest Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 The Pro version of windows has a 'Custom UI' group policy that can be set to an exe - HyperSpin in this case. When set it will load that exe instead of explorer.exe. It's available in Windows 7&8 not sure about Vista but worth a look.
HazzardActual Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 if you want to do it the cheap way, just put hyperspin in your startup folder. with an SSD its launching within 5 seconds of windows opening
