pigsfoot
Hi an attempt to build my first cabinet I looked through the forums for inspiration. Upon finding a slim cab designed and built by KD5 ( http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?12561-New-Cab-new-Design ) I decided to build the same one. Based on the pictures in the post this is what I have come up with so far. The idea is this is my prototype built from scrap wood in the garage with only a circular saw, jig saw and a cordless screw driver. Once happy and adjustments made I will fully disassemble and use everything as a template to rebuild the cab in MDF at which point I will take more care in cutting and finishing. Please let me know you're thoughts and pass on any structured critisysum as I've never built anything like this before. Will keep the post up to date as I go along.... So far it's taken two days to get to this point. Cheers Rod
pigsfoot
CP cut and fitted, VESA mount also fitted ready for the 27" LED screen.. Will trial fit controls and screen tomorrow to see how it all looks. Base front, screen bezel and marque still to make... Not sure what to do about the back yet, may just see if I can bend and attach a sheet of thin hardboard to finish it all off..

That's a lot of space in front of the buttons, I hope you don't have short arms, lol

blade
Alright there pigsfoot cab looks great as mentioned only thing thats looks odd is all that extra space at front of the controls looks like a 4 player size panel .And yes get that hardboard they use on wardrobe backs and tack it on but you will need a front access door for putting in your pc etc...and future tweeks but on the plus side mate looks good especially for first build . showstopper
With a CP that big you should put a spinner on it.
