MAME Direct Input

Hi, i'm having some troubles with all the mame version from the download section... Save / load state in hyperpause does not work.. it's like the direct input function is not "active"... 

I have an outdated version of mame 0.161 and its works fine with that version... am i doing something wrong with the new versions ?

Running that little executable in my MAME directory did the trick for me.

Had this issue with 0.166 and fixed it by compiling a new version following the details in this thread: http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?2824-Pause-Mame-Save-Load

 

Seems like the tools aren't actually setting direct input to on when you tick the box so you need to edit the line in the file before compiling.
