60minutesrearranged Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Real neat stuff you guys got here!! I took tomorrow off to begin woodworking on a Viewlix-type cabinet for 2 players standing (as opposed to the traditional 1p sitting config)... I've been into emulating on and off for QUITE a while now. i got introduced an SNES emulator by my best friends older brother (who was studying computer engineering at Purdue at the time) in about 2001 or 2002. I was in forth or fifth grade at the time I experienced Donkey Kong Country 3 on a computer and it fucking blew me away (I'm 24 yr-old now for those who don't have their calculators on hand). I'm now building a freaking sweet arcade system that will be able to play every game I've ever loved and will also be a an awesome piece of furniture. My younger, knewb self is in terrific awe of what hyperspin and rocketlaunch is capable of. Thanks for renewing a life-long passion and opening up possibilities I would have never dreamed of..
THK Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Awesome, I wish I had started my build 7 years ago when I bought the controls and was still at Uni with a free workplace & equipement available. But no I'm a lazy scrub xD ..........................back with a vengeance........................
gigapig Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Jeez, 24, nearly half a lifetime ago. I hadn't been around the world or I hadn't bought my convertible VW Beetle, but I did have Donkey Kong, Moon Cresta, Defender and Mr Do!
