highchiro Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I am using hyperlaunch and hs 1.3. It is stable and I have really tried with rocketlauncher just can gat it to work for me. Using 1.3 and HL I have the mameui setup and working well. I have jeepguys vertical menu and it works for mame. I now want to do the same for genesis games. I have been making the wheel art and have rotated the flv files. I need to know what to do to load the roms automatically. I can load the geneis emulator to the point where I have to manually select and insert the cartridge, then the game runs. How do I make that automatic from the wheel selection? What are the settings in hyperspin and is there a specific module I need? I am stumped. I dont really want to try rocketlauncher again 2 days work and just no joy at all with that and HS1.4. All help greatly appreciated. If I cant be done it would be nice to know. Sadly Fusion and gens doent have a cocktail view which is why I really want to use mame.
highchiro Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 I thought that yes I am using mame 0.172. I just wondered if anyone had done that. I am no programmer. All the HL settings are setup for the wheel art postions etc. I have tried rocket launcher I just cant get it to work when I upgrade. Probably a really dumb question but Would the mame module from RL work in HL?
epayson85 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Nope, RL modules won't work in HL. They absolutely work. It's what I have been doing since rocket launch came out. Install rocket launch in a separate directory from your hyperspin / hyperlaunch directory. Then find the module you want and copy it over to hyperlaunch. Fro. There you are going to have to modify it a little to get it to work but all you are really doing g is removing code that has to do with features that hyperlaunch doesn't have. Try running a game, it will error out but the error will tell you why. What ever feature it mentions remove any lines of code that have to do with that feature. Do it a few times and you will get it working. Sometimes you have to add some waitclose commands too because they are slightly different in hyperlaunch compared to rocket launch. I have done this with the latest versions of pcsx2, dolphin, and pinball arcade.

I think their is a very big difference between "They work" and " They work if you modify them" and the OP was not very specific, do you have, Hyperlaunch_1, Hyperlaunch_2 or Hyperlaunch_3? The amount of editing will depend on what version you currently have.
