Cyberdeal98 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hello, I'm a newbie, and I've read and tried to follow just about every post in this forum. I need your expert help! I got HyperSpin to open Future Pinball (the program only, then I have to hit File--Open--Select Table--Play Table), but I can't get it to open a *.fpt from HyperSpin. Here's my settings in the Future Pinball.ini [exe info] path=D:\Games\Pinball\Future Pinball\ rompath=D:\Games\Hyperspin Project - Arcade System Games\HyperSpin\Emulators\Future Pinball\ userompath=true exe=Future Pinball.exe /open romextension=fpt parameters= /play /exit searchsubfolders=false pcgame=true winstate=HIDDEN hyperlaunch=false If I change it to this, which is what I read from this forum it doesn't do anything when I hit Enter on the game name. It just sits at HS, [exe info] path=D:\Games\Pinball\Future Pinball\ rompath=D:\Games\Hyperspin Project - Arcade System Games\HyperSpin\Emulators\Future Pinball\ userompath=true exe=Future Pinball.exe /open romextension=fpt parameters= /play /exit searchsubfolders=false pcgame=false winstate=HIDDEN hyperlaunch=false Thanks in advance for your help.
justinwebb Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I dont have to change anything and it loads FP just fine.
Cyberdeal98 Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 32assasin, I followed your suggestion and did a fresh install of HyperSpin v1.3.2.0, HyperLaunch v3.0.0.9.9, and HyperLaunchHQ v1.0.13.0. All the latest updates. I went into HyperHQ and HyperLaunchHQ, and Future Pinball was listed in either one. So I went to HyperHQ and added Future Pinball as a wheel, then it showed up in HyperLaunchHQ. In HYperLaunchHQ I went to Global, and click Emulators and here's the settings: Name: Future Pinball Path: ..\..\Pinball\Future Pinball\Future Pinball.exe Rom Extensions: 7z|zip|fpt Module: Future Pinball.ahk I then clicked Future Pinball in HyperLaunchHQ, and under Emulators I added the FP table folder location (..\..\Pinball\Future Pinball\Tables\). In HyperLaunchHQ, and under Games I clicked Edit all Game, and the list was blank. So I went to D:\Games\HyperSpin - Fresh\Databases\Future Pinball and added a Future Pinball.xlm file: <?xml version="1.0"?> <menu> <header> <listname>Future Pinball</listname> <lastlistupdate>05/25/2013</lastlistupdate> <listversion>1.5</listversion> <exporterversion>zerojay - http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?25239-Future-Pinball-Recreations-Clean-Set-2013-05-10-Database</exporterversion> </header> <game name="2001 (Gottlieb)" index="" image=""> <description>2001</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>86106573</crc> <manufacturer>Gottlieb</manufacturer> <year>1971</year> <genre>Pinball</genre> </game> </menu> I went back to HyperLaunchHQ, and under Games I clicked Edit all Game, and the 2001 (Gottlieb) showed up in Green. I clicked the Launch selected game icon, and the Future Pinball program opened (not the table), then after 15-20 seconds I got an error message: "There was an error waiting for the window "ahk_class FuturePinballOpenGL". Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem". Now I can't get past this error. Please help.
32assassin Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 this are the note modules, make sure you follow them ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Notes: ; Thanks to the FPLaunch author for some of the code ; To set fullscreen, open the emu and goto Preferences->Video / Rendering Options and set your resolution and check fullscreen. ; AHK is not 100% reliable with its focusing. If coin/start/flipper buttons don't function when you start a table, try clicking your left mouse button. ; The script will fail if you have any errors or missing files for your tables. Make sure every table is working before you turn on the LoadingScreen. ; If you use Esc as your exit_emulator_key, you may see the table editor flash in when you exit a game. This is because Esc is the default fixed key for FP so it's closing the game before ahk does. ; If you get script errors or no tables seem to work, try running FP as admin and it will probably fix it. ; If you need to run FP as admin, you can try this trick http://www.zdnet.com/blog/bott/fixing-windows-vista-part-2-taming-uac/436?pg=4 and use the other Run command commented below ; Future Pinball stores its config in the registry @ HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-440413192-1003725550-97281542-1001\Software\Future Pinball\GamePlayer ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. you no longer need to fill any of the settings in HyperHQ, unless you are using the rom filtering option, since you have multiple rom directories in hyerlaunchHQ, this will create problems for you if you turn on filtering. HyperHQ does not support multiple directories. 2. does your video card, PC support OpenGL video driver? and finally the most important thing post your log. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?26044-HyperLaunch-Read-Before-Posting! get it from hyperlaunch folder --> hyperlaunch.txt now that you are at 3.0 you might want to learn how to keep Hyperlaunch, modules and HyperlaunchHQ up to date with this http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?27528-HyperLaunch-GIT hyperlaunch is already at v3.0.1.1 , the download section is not always updated
Cyberdeal98 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 32assasin, I got it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. I've spend days working on this dang thing. Now I can relax. I went through all of your comments and links. I opened HyperHQ redid the Rom path, and clicked search subfolders enabled. Went to HyperLaunchHQ, and redid the Rom paths and launched it from there. I then opened HyperSpin and it worked. I get a few flashing screens while waiting for the table, but that 100000% better than where I was. Again, thank you!
rimini Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hi, I have exactly same problem as you did, can you write idiots guide how you got it to work ?
