Styphelus
As someone whose last console was a Sega Genesis back in 1993 (I've been a PC guy ever since), I have to ask, at what point do you stop applying CRT filters? Right now I have them applied up to the Saturn/Playstation generation. I find that the N64, GameCube, PS2 and Dreamcast look better without CRT filters. I also can't remember what DOS games looked like on a computer CRT monitor despite having used one for years. Do you apply CRT filters DOS/ScummVM games? Just trying to tweak everything to look proper. Memory is fuzzy. Any input on this would be appreciated.
Metalzoic
Well the first system to output rez higher than 640x480 was the original Xbox which could run all games in 480p and had maybe 20 or so games that could output 1080i. So I'd say filter everything up to OG Xbox, so PS2, Dreamcast & GameCube can all have the CRT look. From X360 on no filter. scoodidabop
If you upscale GameCube and Dreamcast they look ok without CRT filters - it's just personal preference at that point I'd say. As far as Scumm I'd love to get Reshade or some other CRT shader solution in place but I can't seem to get it working.
