rfancella Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 I am sorry, I do not have a HL setup at the moment. I would recommend updating to RocketLauncher. Thanks, Ron hi ron thanks for your reply I use HL HL 3.1.0.5 and 1.1.1.3 HQ All settings such as the display and keyboard setup correctly load the host file. hardware settings (CPU and chipset) unfortunately the default load ... the game starts up but the sound is bad and only manual change cpu in WinUAE produces results greetings
Grottroffe Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Hi Ron. I am trying to get Winuae to start with Rocket Launcher and I did all the steps you showed in your guide but something goes wrong. When I try to start a game the emulator seems to load a different config file that I haven't setup, because the old WB1.3 kickstart image comes up and nothing is set up.But when I start the emulator alone from the Rocket Launcher UI the emulator loads the correct config files and all seems to be in order. What have I done wrong? =) /Fredrik

Grottroffe Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 It seems like the module is loading a quickstart profile, but that's just my guess. =) Edit: I seem to have worked it out myself for once. =) Thanks for the quick reply you gave my previous post and great job with the module! Thanks Fredrik Hello and welcome to the forums! If you try to launch the game from RLUI, the Kickstart screen shows? Please set your logging level to Troubleshooting and post your log here. aniasz Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 OK, at this moment I have so if I file * .uae for a particular game configuration takes off and runs WinUAE as I set. otherwise WinUAE starts with cycle-exact (which can not be). display settings, sound, controllers are ok in the case of emulation Amiga 1200 did not work my way with a * .uae in configuration, ie, display settings, sound, controllers are ok, but starts with cycle-exac
rfancella Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Ok, Go into your Module Settings for WinUAE. Click on the CPU tab and set CpuCycleExact to false. aniasz Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Ok, Go into your Module Settings for WinUAE. Click on the CPU tab and set CpuCycleExact to false. Thanks, Ron hello, Ron! thanks for the help is actually an option in the system settings editor for WinUAE.whk but for each game individually. It can not be applied globally to all the setting was that? when I click Global Settings pops up a message - the module does not make use of a global settings file ... thanks
rfancella Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Right. It is there for both as well. For some reason this module uses the "Edit System Specific Module Settings" instead of the "Edit Global Module Settings" button. When you hit the "...System Specific..." button for the WinUAE.ahk module you are presented with a bunch of tabs: In the picture above I have selected the CPU tab. Everything on all the tabs, except those in the Rom Settings tab, apply to all the games for this speciffic system. So change the CpuCycleExact to false and it should be set to false for all games except for those you have otherwise set to true in the Rom Settings tab. rfancella Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 Ahhh. Again, you are using HyperLaunch. I appologize, I do not have an install of HyperLaunch setup. If you updated to RocketLauncher, those tabs will be there. Thanks, Ron

aniasz Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Upgrade to RocketLauncher? Thanks, Ron Yes, upgrade to RL. Now I found instructions. Rocketlauncher solved the problems about which I wrote, just missing emulation parameter settings globally. Instead appeared a new problem with Hyperspin. When I choose a system in Hyperspin, program closes and returns to the desktop ... and again and again. http://www.rlauncher.com/wiki/index.php?title=HyperSpin
rfancella Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 Hi, Good. At least now that you are up to the new version of RocketLauncher, we can help. What version of HyperSpin are you using? Did you use the RocketLauncher Transition tool to convert over from HyperLaunch to RocketLauncher? Please post your HyperSpin log. Thanks, Ron Yes, upgrade to RL. Now I found instructions. matchaman Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Could anyone please post a guide for setting up Amiga on RetroArch (puae_libretro.dll core)?
matchaman Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Disregard my previous post - I took the guided path.I try to load Agony and many other games and I get this error (yes, I'm using 3D3 scanlines): What am I doing wrong? Also other (smaller) games just show this and nothing else happens:Or this, flashing:
rfancella Posted August 8, 2015 Author Posted August 8, 2015 Hi, Looks like there might be a couple issues here. The second screen shows it wants a Kickstart disk. Please be sure you have 7z disabled for this system. The last one shows what looks like either bad roms or a bad WHDLoad key. Thanks, Ron
matchaman Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Hello Ron!Yes, I followed all the directions carefully, 7z is indeed disabled for Commodore Amiga.I replaced the ROMs from a different source and instead of those lines, I get the error from the first image. My memory (RAM) settings are just as your picture and tried changing them around, no difference... Note that some smaller games (less than 500KB I assume) run normally. Maybe it's an issue with multi-disk titles? However, most small games still give me the hand-holding-disk image, while "scanning ROMs" says they're all available.

SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The latest vid of mine.. bringing this system back to the masses! All thanks to YOU Ron Happy Gaming Guys!
Foz72 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Hi Ron, great tutorial thanks for that, its really helpful. Ive got one question, It all works ok but I seem to have a few games that will launch, and you see the company/game name etc then it seems to try to get to the actual 'game' but the screen just stays black. This only happens on some and not all, so im wondering if this is an actual individual configuration to the game setting rather than an emu one. For example it does it on the Alien Breed games for me. Any ideas? Cheers, Foz.
Foz72 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Lots of help here in the form of links to other pages from this site, but a lot (not all) of them dont actually goto the page youre trying to get to. They display the link in the bar ok but only show the same page which seems to be the forums? Any one else have this? For example if i click on the link below it just takes me to the forum pages: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?31472-Complete-Guide-for-Commodore-Amiga-in-HS-and-RL-Using-WinUAE-Only&p=347401&viewfull=1#post347401 Ive tried different PCs and browsers but still the same issue? Thanks all. Foz.
