rfancella Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 I havent tried 2.6.1I was having trouble with WinUAE 2.7.0, when that was installed it was hanging on the amiga screen. I backdated to 2.6.0 and now don't seem to be having any issues. I did see 2.6.1 as a download option but while all my troubles were happening I went straight to 2.6.0 seeing as it was mentioned Emu version in the WinUAE.AHK. (I will update to 2.6.1 tonight). Were you aware of there being trouble with 2.7.0. version (It might be something I was doing wrong). However If I swap back to the 2.7.0 exe my problems resurface. The only reason I used that version, it was the newest available at the time I wrote that guide. Usually you can use a higher version of emulator than what is listed on the module, usually. I will grab the newest version and try it. If it doesn't work, download the version the module specifies. I will then update a version at a time, until it breaks again, then back down one. I was not aware there was even a v2.7.0. Gonna download it and give it a try today. Thanks, Ron

Copied my roms, WHD and configurations over to the new directory. Set the paths and it launches just fine. Both seem to work for me. Thanks, Ron

My arcade cab has CRT video VGA with max resolution 640x480. For this reason I use to configure everything by remote desktop from laptop. Now I've done it directly on the cab and everything is fine. The Amiga module looks for ...\WinUAE\Configurations\Host\amigahost.uae for it's config. For CD32 it uses ...\WinUAE\Configurations\Host\cd32host.uae for it's config. So long as you have them both, there should be no difference in any of the other settings. The other way to do it, is to add the second instillation of WinUAE as a new Emulator. That's how I setup 2.7.0 without disturbing my other setup. Select GLOBAL on the top left. Emulators on top. Hit the big green Plus to add a new Emulator. Name it what you want. Select the new WinUAE executable. Select WinUAE.ahk as the module. Put your extensions in and save. You now can select either one as your default Emulator and mix and match them. Thanks, Ron

Anybody have any ideas? I can at least confirm it's working. Do you have other games working? Check the Rom, perhaps? I have in window mode to see if bezels work. I think it's a no on that one, hopefully bleasby will be added it.

rascaluk Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Ron and co.....driving me up the wall with the key mapping to my ipac2.... I have worked out how to remap the keys and can set up a custom mapping mapped to my joystick / mouse / buttons etc. However, I can't get it to save. I'm obv doing something stupid. If I quit out of WinUAE and back in again there is no sign of my custom map and it has reverted to the standard ones. I have tried hitting save in the config section too.. Any help much appreciated as ever... Paul

Did you save the amigahost.uae file in your ...\WinUAE\Configurations\Host directory? Be sure it's in the Host directory and HyperLaunch should load it when the game is launched. Also, when you reload the configuration, does the Port setting now say <Custom Mapping>? Or does it still say Keyboard Layout A? Thanks, Ron

So, leave the mouse setup in port 1 and configure your IPac as a joystick in port 2. Be sure and save your settings in ...\Host\amigahost.uae. Thanks, Ron

LOL.. It does sound like things are now better. Yes, you can reduce the screen splash. Navigate to: ...\WinUAE\WHD\S and open the WHDLoad.prefs file into notepad. Look for this line: ;SplashDelay=200 ;time to display splash window (1/50 seconds) Now, remove the semicolon from the front and change 200 to 0. Save the file and test. Thanks, Ron
