SkyHighGam3r
Normally I'm able to launch PC programs fine. I set them up in rocketlauncher and look for the .exe.I can't find a way to launch a windows 10 app though. Where would someone find the .exe or equivalent for that?Has anyone set Hyperspin up to use the Xbox or PS4 app yet?
SkyHighGam3r
You have to launch Win10 apps a bit differently. You'll need to create a .bat file which contains Start xxxxx: where xxxxx is the url of your app. To find the url go to your WIndows Settings -> System -> Default Apps and choose "Choose default apps by protocol". Then just scroll through until your find your app and use the url listed. After creating your batch file set that as the Application in the PCLauncher rom setting for that app/game and don't forget to set the AppWaitExe to avoid the fade error. I think the last time I created a batch file was high school lol. How do you do that on modern windows?
SkyHighGam3r
Open your text editor, type your commands, and save as with a .bat extension. That totally worked, thank you.The app now opens with that file. You have to launch Win10 apps a bit differently. I've set it as the application in PClauncher's module. However, the AppWaitExe won't let me because it's not a .exe file...
SkyHighGam3r
You have to figure out what the actual exe of the app is and set that as the AppWaitExe, not the .bat or the url. The way I would do it is run the app and use either Windows Resource Monitor (search windows for resmon) or WindowSpy (included with the autohotkey installation) to find the exe. Then set that as your AppWaitExe and you should be good. That did it! I was able to find it just using task-manager though. Thanks for the help! I was finally able to use Hyperspin to connect to my Xbox One, which connected to the X360, which then played my Backwards Compatible copy of Jet Set Radio Future from XBOX! Very cool... But seems like a lot of work when you could just play it on your Xbox.
SkyHighGam3r
Very cool... But seems like a lot of work when you could just play it on your Xbox. Couldn't that same thing be said about any project on here? lol My build's entire focus is to combine all major consoles into one console. Due to the sad state of emulating anything on Xbox, some creative work-arounds are required. This is just one of a few "Non-Emulation" methods I have for playing some of these types of games using my Gam3B0x.
