SORHP
About a year ago I started pulling together the parts to have a Tron machine, I wanted a tasteful way to have a spinner and flight stick, but with out going too custom, I love the classics, and the retro cabinets need some respect, before any klov guys see this and call out blasphemy, the cabinet is new, not original, the only parts that are original are the lighting fixtures (not the plastic), shroud and marquee and control panel , and flight stick hardware. All the art is from Phoenix arcade. I have a lot of respect for the purists, but I cannot afford a million dollar collection so I can relive the 80's I never got to see, but I can afford to have old busted-destined for the dump cabinets that I painstakingly restore to their former glory and want to put our very nice HyperSpin art inside of... so from here on my cabinets will be retro machines original in their appearance, but house a nice pc and arcade CRT if I can get one, or LCD if I cannot. (I live in a place where arcade parts are not available and shipping is outrageous for heavy parts. ) I'll post some pics up soon and a vid, but she looks very nice, and now my centipede and super punch-out (both HyperSpin) cabinets have an old friend... EDIT, Here's a Picture of the final Product
RenegadeFred
BLASPHEMY!!! HAHA Na... Your work on those cabs is amazing.. so I expect this one to be the same. Personally I'm not a Tron guy, but I'd like to see how it turns out.

RenegadeFred
Wow turned out really nice! Took a minute to question myself why Ikari Warriors (and some others) was included, but then it hit me.. Spinner for rotation and stick for moving/shooting. I think it's cool your keeping things minimal to what the controls can handle or were similar in style. Awesome job!
SORHP
Thanks a lot, it was a really fun build, , I don't think I'd do the process of finding all of those tron specific parts again, it was probably the most expensive cab I'll ever build, but hey , we only live once, and I really wanted a tron machine since I was a kid

If you had time, posting some of the links or sites you found (or ended up going with) would be sweet! Also, in that shot of your screen, is that your intro video or media artwork in your HS for Tron? That's very cool!! The cab looks great! I'm impressed!! I've used GGG and Randy has some great products over there. I assume you got the Tron replacement handle but what did you use as the joystick? Did you use an 8-way restrictor and if so, where did you get it? And yes, I saw jeepguy81's vertical designs while lurking in the FTP the other day. Set it up the same day so I now have a vertical section on my wheel. Looks great though I gotta figure out the easiest way to use the Carbon fiber background instead of the wood grain. I didn't see the CF as part of the download... Still, great stuff! Thanks again!!
SORHP
The joystick is original, it's a tron joystick, I got it off eBay with the control panel, it is an 8 way stick, but designed to be difficult to actuate the diagonals unless perfect ... Of course I got the handle from ggg, insert from Phoenix I did buy extra grommets and restrictors for the joystick when I feel the need to refurbish, but as of right now it feels good, maybe in 6 months or more I'll rip it apart Maybe the cf is in the miscellaneous folder?? There's better cf images on the net, the cocktail stuff is made to be custom if you want, but you have to have the cf file named the same as all of the themes you want it part of to replace the wood grain
