OneBadVeggie Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Just wondering, I can't seem to get it to work. Also, does anyone use the MESS core in Retroarch? Also can never seem to get that to work either.
spotUP Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I think i remember having problems with that core.. I have to re-check though.
Styphelus Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I just use mame. Couldn't get that core to work. Same with the Mess core. Mess used to work fine back in the day. then they changed how it worked and the folder structure and I was never able to get it working after that. Anyway, it was slower than using actual mame and I never actually kept it as part of my setup.

OneBadVeggie Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 I think Styphelus is right about the MESS core though. I've heard it involves having hash files and all sorts of stuff. Even on the retroarch forum itself, I've never seen a perfectly succinct tutorial that actually worked. The BlueMSX core is supposed to work by just downloading some of the files that come with the BlueMSX standalone. But whenever you start it in Retroarch, it'll only ever start as the MSX and not the ColecoVision.

spotUP Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 It worked for me now in retroarch, but it didn't autoload the games, so I stick with MAME.
kylecp1979 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I messed around with that core but I too couldn't get it to work. I just use mame.
