Deluxe23 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 hi ive installed hyperspin on my brand new zotac mag hd-nd01 runing on Windows7 64bit when i start hyperspin the intro lags and the menu wheel too what can i do ?
Dazz Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I don't think anyone has ever tested HS on one of those things.... I really question the performance of the Atom cores.
Lashek Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 This looks more like an HTPC / Netbook Alternative... You may need to tweak HS by turning off advanced transitions as well as disabling the intro video to see any increase in performance... According to various reviews, these things stutter on web browsing and flash content, which could be why you are having issues with HS (since it's pretty much entirely flash) depending on which version of flash is installed (this seems to be the key player). I don't think you'll get full speed out of that processor as well, as it may be a dual-core, it's not even close to the power of traditional dual cores that are out there now (This is expected from a mini-pc though, definitely a great processor for a mini-pc). -Lashek I invented HyperList! http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com Please do not ask me support questions about HyperList, I am no longer a part of the team/project.
Deluxe23 Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 thanks for answers where can i disable the intro video and the animations ?
SophT Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Either through hyperHQ or just editing settings.ini Things I Break ----- System Requirements? How do I remove rom warnings? How do I shut-down my computer? How do I shell HyperSpin?
NEXUS9 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I am also looking into the Zotac MAG. You should be able to get it running decent with the into and transitions. I would download Flash 10.1 Beta 2 and also use XP Pro not Windows 7. It should run decent at lower resolutions such as 640x480 or 800x600. Are you using the MAG as a PC or just for HyperSpin? If you are just using it for HyperSpin then I would clean up the start-up items and ensure there is no unnecessary tasks running to provide the most resources to HyperSpin. Best luck and let us know how you end up!
billpa Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 You can also download the low bitrate version of the intro here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=802 That should play without stuttering. I made this alt version since the original intro I made is pretty demanding. Also, I doesn't matter what version of Flash Player you have. HS is Actionscript code but that doesn't mean you need the latest Flash Player. It is like saying you need to download the Unreal Engine to play Medal of Honor. ------------------------------------ *Click here for HyperSpin and HyperPin logos* *My Photoshop Tutorials* *Join The Theme Creators Club* *Buy HyperSpin Merchandise*

I'm still new to the whole HS scene but am learning quick.
Ptaz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Yeah... I here yeah, you might want to upgrade your hardware before the release of the next HS. Those ATOM like processors are not cut out for dedicated apps.. they are designed to conserve battery power and use very low wattage. Go out and find a cheap desktop a P4 or better with a 1 gig of RAM and a 5600gt vid card or something older like that for under a hundred bucks! then you can enable everything. I had it running at one point fairly decently on an old P4 desktop 1.5 GHz processor and 1 gig of 3200 DDR ram and a 5200 BFG geforce card... before I upgraded.
