Hyperspin to boot straight into a Game?

Hi everyone.

 

I am looking to completely get rid of windows and boot straight into hyperspin.. however, I want it to look like a PROPER arcade machine when turned on... so is there anyway for me to turn the cabinet on, it does its boot up then goes straight into Killer instinct and skip the front end.. however when you exit from killer instinct its all there as normal?

you can shell windows which windows you on?

You could probably make a bat file or some other kind of script to launch that game and put in the startup in hyperhq

Thanks joystickkilla, a bat file huh... ive heard of batch files before and used to play around with them decades ago in dos but god knows how I would do that now. I suppose a search will bring up the answer perhaps?.

i dont see point of frontend if you loading one game i shell windows to boot into kodi it got a button on it to boot in hyperspin

well, it is more toward creating the illusion that it is a full bonifide arcade machine...

 

Lets say I have mates round who have all grown up in arcades and seen them boot or continually scroll through their attract modes.. I go up to my machine and switch it on with my 1 switch boot.. it all comes into life, then you see the blue screen of Killer instinct and the classic beep and then seconds later KI starts its impressive attract mode.. its WAAYYYY more authentic than hyperspin loading up its its HD glory and fanciness(even though that's great)... the illusion is still kinda there but not the same as what you get when it goes straight to a game as a normal 1 game arcade machine would do.

 

If I can add : I still want however to be able to press "exit" and it go to Hyperspin.. Just want it to boot into hyperspin invisibly perhaps and then to a game..

i get your point.. it just seems more like an actual arcade machine starting up... but you still want to be able to exit and load other games systems from hyperspin. I guess the question becomes is it just to impress certain people or is it something you actually want... meaning if it's just to impress people you could probably set that up with a emulator outside of hyperspin to just boot straight up into that emulator and launch the game with a .bat file as long as the emulator allows the command line switches or whatever the proper wording is for that.

How about an intro video of KI with boot sequence and attract mode?

The script would have to launch mame and run KI, then when mame is closed HS is started. I'm sure that's possible.

Yeh rastan / gigapig. Good ideas. Sounds like a good way to achieve what im after!! I could probably make a high qual version of the ki vid but scripting i wouldnt know where to start sorry

sorry man if I sounded rude just seem like it was for one game also can you have hyperspin boot killer instinct first or make own XML or favorites just suggestions giga and rastan idea good also
