Hi guys,

Looking to just get a cheap computer to run hyperspin plus mame, super nintendo, nintendo, and sega genesis games. Not really looking to run much more than that. Would something like the computer below work? Most of the ones I'm finding are HD Intel 400 Graphics. I have a 6800 Radeon video card in my old PC (which is giving me all sorts of headaches hence the want to replace it).

Or, is there a quick and rough qualifications any of you would think would work? Like processor speed, intel HD 400 graphics are fine, etc.

Thanks again for all the help. This forum has really been tremendous.

You could get away with running most of that on an i3 or an i5 processor 4 to 8gb of ram and integrated graphics.

But if your wanting to run more graphic intense games like some of the golden tee games you'll probably need like a 3rd gen i5 or higher processor 8gb of ram or higher and a mid level graphics card.

I'm no expert just my opinion. Hopefully you'll get more feedback on this.

Good luck! Hope to see you back on here with a working hyperspin PC :)

Thanks for the info. I'm almost there!! The pedestal arrives tomorrow afternoon. I've been on a garbage pedestal thing I made myself four years ago so it'll be nice to have something clean. And of course, last minute, sound problems and Fusion emulator issues that make me think it's just better to replace the 7 year old PC I was using for it. I'm one step closer to playing some old school Megaman with my son this weekend.

drop the Fusion emulator an go with Mednafen

you could run,  SNS,NES, Genesis from the same emulator

and if you don't care about Shaders,  then you could probably use your 7 year old PC without any problems. (other then the games in MAME with high processor demands)
