Atari ST Steem Shortcuts

I have after many hours... got STEEM working properly, BUT I cant use shortcut keys in STEEM itself ?????????????????????

No idea why?

Simply set F12 as toggle fullscreen and it does nothing?

I have tried many different buttons also?

Anyone else experienced shortcuts not working please and how to fix this issue?

I seem to remember similar problems and think I did a fresh install of steem using tos1.04 (us) version.

Also, I dont remember for sure but Steem may already use "F12" for somthing else and may not be configurable (just a guess)

so before you do a fresh install try this...

-make a copy of "default.stcut" in the steem\shortcuts -folder, if you already have one.

-copy the text below into notepad

-save it as "default.stcut"

-place in your steem\shortcuts -folder

...and see if this works for you.

When you open steem and the "shortcuts" (lighning bolt) dialog you should see somthing similar to the attached .jpgs below.

also while in the "shortcuts" dialogue, you should be able to re-edit the keys to the ones you want to use. (F12 for fullscreen maybe?)

Thanks. This is very useful. Out of interest, has anyone started making themes for Atari ST ?

Theres 1 or 2 main themes in the download section but i dont think anyone has done any game themes yet or at least released them here anyway. Im trying to get as much artwork as possible for the ST as i think it gets overlooked but its so hard especially the box art.

Ive been playing a few games on the Amiga that I used to play on the Atari ST to compare what everyones always going on about, and well I think the music sounded better on the Atari in many cases of games. It has a more retro feeling to it and its a hell of a lot easier to emulate too. Its mainly graphical differences between the Amiga and ST but even then its only minor or a few extra screens. The ST deservered so much more respect, cause it was such a masterpiece of game systems
