momentarydogma Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Does anyone know of a source for custom sized plastic bezels for flatscreen LCDs that mimic the look of standard CRT bezels? I've found some that are made for 19" LCDs, but I'm looking for one that will fit a 15" 4:3 LCD for a bartop cab, like the one below. Any ideas?
urk Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I went with a flat piece of acrylic cut to size then masked off the monitor "live area" then spray painted black. Lexan would work too. Worked great. 27" widescreen LED. My Hyper Surfer Build - Thread Here
Polemicist Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 You mean the curved bezels? Yeah had a mate who went looking for that. You can get them in generic sizes to suit many CRT displays but the problem is that most 4:3 LCD's are smaller than their CRT brothers. What he did was got one that was a little larger and adjusted it with a fine tooth saw and a lot of patience.

The ones I found for 19" monitors are actually made to fit flat screen LCDs-- I just haven't found anyone with a mold for anything smaller than that yet.
