mscottson
I'm just getting hyperspin and rocklauncher setup and I'm wondering if it's possible to have the each rom unzipped in a seperate folder or do all the roms need to be contained in the same folder? alcoatjez
If you put the individual ROM in a folder with the same name as the ROM I think it should work Verstuurd vanaf mijn GT-I9195 met Tapatalk
mscottson
Thanks for the quick reply! I've been still building the rom list, I'll let you know if I run into issues with the way I'm extracting them into individual folders once I start building up the modules and databases. badboo
What system are you working on? or is it a general question? For my own experience I prefer to have the roms zipped in the same folder and have the RL/HS to unzip them when I am loading the game.
Guest
Personally I would generally advise to only use sub-folders for roms that are multi file. As alcoatjez has mentioned - if you do use sub folders make sure the folder matches the rom name.
mscottson
Okay thanks. I may put all the roms back into a single folder as currently I have them in individual folders like I said but I'll more than likely leave them unzipped since I have the space. Hopefully there's an easy way to move all the files in each folder one directory up because it'd be a main to do it all manually... I know there's an easy way to do it in Linux but I haven't bothered looking yet for Windows.
Dabil
Yes there is an easy way in Windows as long as the files all have the same extension. Let's say the file extension is bin, then in Windows Explorer go to the sub-folder all your rom folders are in. In the search bar in the upper right type "*.bin" without the quotes. A complete list of all the files with the bin extension will come up. Once the search completed, click on one of the files in the search page and press ctrl+a to select all the files. Then press ctrl+x to cut all the files. Then go to the folder you want them moved to and press ctrl+v to paste them. You can just do this process several times if there is more than one file extension. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
