New Nintendo 64

Me personally I would not use it and keep it in the condition it's in and maybe pass it down to my children one day but that is just me.

 

If your on the fence about using it or not you can always pick up a used one somewhere and play that.

 

But do what makes you happy!!!

Yup still new. Cord bags never opened, controllers still have cords wrapped up with the blue tape stuff they came with.  I'm not really a fan of keeping game stuff around to just collect it, much rather use it. I already have a 64, I mainly wanted this for the controllers. Hard to come by new oem 64 controllers with nice fresh non worn joysticks. Guy had the box as well but said his kids tore into it and he had it in the bed of his truck and it got soaked by the rain.

I installed a gamecube like joystick on one of my controllers It works pretty good and they are pretty cheap and easy to install. If you want to look into that option.

Yeah I've thought about it. All the sites and forums though say that none of the available options still completely matches the original

I don't mind it. It works better for some games like mario party and some racing games I feel it's more responsive.

Yeah I'll have to do it anyways for my controllers I already have. There was a guy who did a Kickstarter to make new sticks and bowls but he is supposedly still working on getting it right.

That's pretty interesting. I tried to clean up a few sticks myself but only a few have turned out successful. If you buy a stick make sure to check the sellers feedback I have gotten some pretty crappy ones.
