Demul - not saving config profile

Setup controls for dreamcast..as per giga's hyperspin setup..they are awesome I have a 360 for dreamcast games.

Naomi games I want to use my tankstick. I go into controls for "arcade" set them up, exit the emulator, launch a game with RL to test (Naomi games) and the config is gone, goes right back to 360 controls.

Any help? I m own this must have something to do with save states??!?

I think before I had a profile that was already setup so I never bothered to learn that step.

I'll tackle it now.

trhing to do this right but RL/HS isn't recognizing the input data I've put in.

 

attached is a pic , I feel I have done it right.  It will work in Demul, I opened up the paddemul.ini inside my demul folder, found the numbers and Input them in the module settings.

RL or HS is not taking to the controls.  Any idea what's happening, I swear I'm doing this right 

from my understanding I need to input these controls for each tab in the module (game types) so this one I'm attempting sf2000 which should be the sfstyle? (I imagine that means street fighter style.

The whole reason for this is some of the games I want to use the 360, the others is like to use my CP

Now I am not saving the paddemul.ini after I set up the controls because when I close demul it always resets anyways, this is the whole point of control mapping in the module correct?

trying to scratch my head and see what I'm doing wrong.

I think I just figured it out

you don't input those settings in the module in RL you paste them in the actual config 0.5.7 demul in RL/modules i think.

Honestly... I just set up the controls in DEmul outside of RL and then made the config files read only.  It might bite me in the ass later, but I gets the job done.

Possibly... does DEmul natively differentiate between JAMMA controls and Dreamcast? I don't remember.

I think it does, inside demul, you set dreamcast controls and there is also an "arcade" controls.

So set full controls for both, inside DEmul, then make the file read only

I could do that in the padDemul, but I want to have separate controls in Naomi for different games. You can't do that in the padDemul, it's a "one set" thing.

if you open the RL module folder for demul and open 0.7, you can scroll down and see each type of game with separate control functions.  I tried to change it there as well but no dice.
