BlueScreenTT Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Stumbled upon my project today ! first is the 2 smal ones then ill make 2 larger ones for 4 player ! if possible This is an awesome concept
BlueScreenTT Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Yes i know it is neo geo hardware but is should be possible with mame i think
momentarydogma Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Looks great! Where did you get that coin button?
BlueScreenTT Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 it is not my cab but i want to build one like that i have found the plans for it all i need now is the wireing diagram
Polemicist Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 That is a pretty simple setup overall but that is using actual NeoGeo hardware and an interesting way of getting sound.
BlueScreenTT Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 part on the way already ! :-) what i dont get is how he hooked up the two identical regarding to hardware to play of one cassette have wrote him but he didnt answer yet
Polemicist Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 He doesn't have to. That is the standard linking between NeoGeo cabs. http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Beginners_Guide_To_SNK_Neo_Geo_MVS Google is ya friend.
BlueScreenTT Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 i have searched and searched but i must have used the wrong words ! :-) Thank you
BlueScreenTT Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 hmm have read that page before where did you find it on that page ?? cant find in the manual either ! shit i must be stupid will try google again
Polemicist Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Wiring NeoGeo cabs together That's all I searched for. And stop worrying about it. When you have the hardware you will have your answer. It is pretty easy from the last time I linked an old Daytona cabs setup together. Crap those things get dusty. From memory it was an old serial cable.
BlueScreenTT Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Nope ! that is now how he did it ! wiring 2 or more neo cabs together is done via a cable. You daisy chain the cartridges together he did not do that ! he says in the end of the video that he is running 2 identical cabs but only one have the cartridge ! also the connection was only done with about 3 or 4 games and the one he is playing is not one of them ! just have to try and get in contact with him again
Polemicist Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 That makes sense. Like I said Google it. You have the same hardware in each but slave the others sounds accurate. Never used NeoGeo hardware mores the pity. You'd actually be better to find a forum that specialised in NeoGeo hardware as that sort of project won't be running HyperSpin anyway.
BlueScreenTT Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 yea i know but i might be able to run 2 systems in one just need some big switches that switches the jamma harness and then connect a pc with hyperspin to one of them now that would be a cool cab
Polemicist Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 If you are doing bartops the you won't fit much inside them let alone NeoGeo hardware and a full PC setup. Also switching could be a headache. Worst thing is you would lose the look as you would want more buttons.
BlueScreenTT Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 all problem that can be solved :-) ill post i an year or ten when i'm done ! :-)
