thomas3120 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Been Slowly getting all my 'official' databases in HS. One problem I'm having is that I have a whole set that looks like this: 0771 - Age of Empires - The Age of Kings (E)(Independent) They all have Numbers at the beginning (and a dash). Are there any ROM utilities that would allow me to delete these? t
adamg Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Can you explain that delimiter a little more agent? I was unaware that you could do that sort of stuff with Don's. If it is listed in the program then I am just one of those guys that does what he knows and does not try anything new but that seems really useful.
thomas3120 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks for the quick reply Hehe, I was just reading and trying that out but must have entered something wrong. If I recall correctly, Don wrote that anything between commas is dismissed...as in you want that part? 1 hour ago, agent47 said: "%d -" (without quotes) in the "Best match filename strip" box and it should ignore the numbers when matching the files to rename. That way you can avoid doing it in 2 steps. Ahh, So I need to place %d- in front of the ROM name? ....Or in the box in the ROM renamer only add %d- ? Thanks again t
cranhill Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 You can use Ant renamer and the characters deletion option to delete all of the numbers at once from the file name and it only takes seconds to do
