cowgod Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 EDIT: I fixed it by setting compatability mode to Windows 7. I do not like this solution, so if you have a different way to fix this, I'm all ears. Thanks. Hello, Whenever I launch HyperSpin, it crashes. If I disable the intro video, it will load the wheel, but then it will crash again (because it's trying to load the MAME video). I have read all the stickied threads and all the info on disabling flash, but none of that appears to be relevant any more. Both the mp4 and flv files play fine in my Videos folders. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed for my 680 and I'm on Windows 10 if that matters. I'm using the latest HyperSpin 1.4.16, and I have added exclusions for My entire HyperSpin and RocketLauncher folders. Can I please get some help? This is what's in my log.txt file: 09:26:50 PM | HyperSpin Started 09:26:50 PM | Going windowed mode 09:26:50 PM | Checking for updates 09:26:50 PM | Update Check Complete 09:26:50 PM | Startup program unavailable 09:26:50 PM | Error intializing joysticks 09:26:50 PM | Menu Mode is multi 09:26:50 PM | Loading Main Menu.xml 09:26:50 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 09:26:51 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully EDIT: I fixed it by setting compatability mode to Windows 7. griffin518 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 From what I remember, HS itself has issues with certain flash video codecs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think even if they run in native windows you might still have an issue within HS. Is there anything preventing you from going to MP4?
cowgod Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 There isn't anything preventing me from switching to mp4, but I don't see an option to use mp4. I tried removing the flash video to force it to use the mp4, but it didn't seem to make a difference--it still froze HyperSpin.
ninja2bceen Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Yes! I also had to change to compatibility mode after I updated to Windows 10! My Hyperspin videos are sometimes slow, they work perfect outside of Hyperspin. Hopefully the updated Hyperspin fixes this video lag and Windows 10 issue. It's weird it just hit you though
griffin518 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 That's so weird... I'm on Win 10 (updated from 7) with no issues at all. It might be time to just cut bait. Issues like this can turn into a never ending rabbit hole.
Krakerman Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 You could try updating or installing the latest k-lite codec pack.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Krakerman Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 none taken. just from my experience never ever had an issue with it but that's me. Everyone has there preferences. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
griffin518 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 I use it also... very popular and well supported/vetted.
ninja2bceen Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 The weird thing for me is it ran perfect I. Windows 7, the videos play perfect outside of Hyperspin, then in Hyperspin there are small lags for a sec every couple seconds sometimes. If I make Hyperspin in window mode it's perfect again. Compatibility made it a lot better but can notice it sometimes
