phantasy Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 I've been out of the loop for a while on the MAME variants... Is HBMAME the newer and continuation of misfitmame? I'm assuming PACMAME is an exclusive pacman game MAME build and likely both all official MAME and unofficial HBMAME pac-games. If you use MAME and HBMAME, does that also make pacmame redundant? Are there any others? I seem to remember a neomame and a sega genesis hazeMD flavor of MAME but is there any point in those now? Any others?
THK Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 strategywiki.org/wiki/MAME/Variations: Quote Formerly known as MiSFiTMAME, HBMAME (HomeBrew MAME) is a version of MAME containing various hacks and homebrews which are not included in the regular release of MAME. Currently included are arcade rom hacks and simulations. More information can be found at The HBMAME Place. The last version to be released under the MiSFiTMAME name was based on MAME v0.128 and can still be found at the old MiSFiTMAME site. ..........................back with a vengeance........................
phantasy Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 Glad to know HBMAME is the new updated MISFITMAME. IS HBMAME also the replacement for PACMAME? I see many/most games supported by PACMAME in there but not sure if it makes PACMAME completely 100% unneeded
THK Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 No idea ..........................back with a vengeance........................
