tjwoosta Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Im installing hyperspin for the first time, following simplyaustins video. He to says install 1.3.3 full install, the install 1.4 over it. It seems there have been some updates since the video was released because I see 1.3.3, 1.4.15, and 1.4.16. Question is do I need to install 1.3.3, then 1.4.15, then 1.4.16 on top, or can I skip 1.4.15 and just install 1.4.16 over 1.3.3?
Yeuxkes Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 You can skip the 1.4.15 step. As far as I remember x.15 and x.16 are identical except that image smoothing was added in 1.4.16. One of the things that you need to add is the default frontend path in RocketLauncher general settings tab, this wasn't the case when he made the video for 1.3.3 But I believe that part is covered in his videos.
griffin518 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 One thought... since you're a platinum member, you'll have access to download Gigapig's pre-built installation. It might not be a bad idea to download it, then remove the wheels you don't want, etc. versus starting from full scratch.
tjwoosta Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 I thought about it, but decided to start from scratch first so I can get some idea of how everything works. After I understand everything a bit better Ill probably switch over to the pre-configured setup
